Edmund “Ed” Hodge is executive vice president and chief human resources officer for Trinity Health. Hodge is responsible for leading the national strategy to engage and serve Trinity Health’s 133,000+ colleagues. This includes talent acquisition; talent management; talent development; total rewards; diversity and inclusion; culture; colleague and labor relations; and organization effectiveness.

Hodge joined Trinity Health in 2017 from Florida Hospital, one of America’s largest hospitals and the flagship of Orlando-based Advent Health (AH). For six years, he served as senior executive officer and chief people officer for most of AH’s organizations in the Central Florida Division.

Previously, Hodge served more than 10 years as executive vice president and chief administrative officer for Adventist HealthCare in Rockville, Maryland, where he provided executive leadership for a number of business units and corporate administrative and shared services.

For seven years, Hodge served in several leadership roles for Huguley Memorial Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas, the most recent as vice president for market development and subsidiaries. Prior to that, he functioned in finance and audit roles for Advent Health. Before entering healthcare, he held various business and management positions within the travel and music industries.

Hodge holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting from Belmont University and an MBA from Southwestern Adventist University. He is certified by the HR Certification Institute as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and is a Senior Certified Professional by the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM-SCP). Additionally, he is certified in Healthcare Human Resources (CHHR) by the American Hospital Association, and is a board-certified Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
