James E. Mazo

James E. Mazo, MD FACOEM, serves as the Regional Executive Director and Regional Medical Director at Trinity Health Of New England since June 2018, focusing on occupational health and safety across the Hartford, Waterbury, and Springfield markets. Mazo is responsible for reducing work-related injuries, standardizing pre-hire health testing, conducting annual screenings, and ensuring compliance with OSHA, JCAHO, and Department of Public Health standards. Prior to this role, Mazo was the Medical Director and Section Chief at St Francis Hospital from April 2004 to January 2018. Mazo obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Boston University School of Medicine and completed residency training at The University of Connecticut Health Center, followed by a fellowship in Occupational Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
