Linda M. Sutherland

Teaching Artist In Education Department at Trinity Rep

Linda M. Sutherland is an experienced teaching artist currently working at Trinity Repertory Company since September 2010, focusing on character development through improvisation and scene study. As an adjunct faculty member at Boston University since 2000, Sutherland teaches educational programming aimed at inspiring effective arts education practices. Previously, Sutherland served as the Associate Director of Academic Programs at Emerson College, where responsibilities included developing non-credit programs and managing academic content for the Arts & Communication Pre-College Summer Program. Sutherland was also a past co-chair of Region 1 for the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival and held the position of Associate Director of Education at Huntington Theatre Company from 1997 to 2005. Sutherland holds a Master of Arts in Theatre Education with a concentration in Directing from Emerson College.
