Crystal Chen

Crystal Chen is an accomplished undergraduate researcher at Trinity University, specializing in pre-mRNA splicing under the mentorship of Dr. Corina Maeder. In addition to research, Crystal serves as a supervisor at The Phonathon, LLC Telefundraising, successfully managing a team and raising significant funds for the Trinity Fund. Additionally, Crystal works as a grant writer for the Huntington's Disease Society of America, where applications for funding are developed through corporate and family foundations. Practical experience includes an observership in pulmonary care at Swedish First Hill and a visiting fellowship at a renowned teaching hospital in Florence. Crystal's earlier roles include teaching at Mathnasium, serving as treasurer for an FRC robotics team, and freelance digital artistry. Crystal is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Trinity University after completing high school with an IB Diploma.
