Seth Asbury was appointed Trinity's Associate Director of Athletics for Facilities and Event Management in June 2015. Seth organizes and directs the day-to-day management of athletics facilities and event operations as it relates to University, conference, and NCAA standards and regulations.
He is on the project team of all athletics facilities capital improvements, including the $15 million renovations of the William H. Bell Athletic Center. He currently serves on the University's Athletic Master Plan Committee. Seth is also a part-time faculty member in Trinity's sport management program.
In 2019, Seth received a post graduate certificate from the The Sport Management Institute, an academic graduate level business program for athletic administrators. The institute is sponsored by The University of Texas, University of Michigan, University of Notre Dame (IN), University of Southern California, University of North Carolina, and the University of Georgia.
He joined the Trinity staff in June 2006 as Aquatics Assistant, managing swimming pool operations. One year later, Seth was named Coordinator of Athletics Events, when he took over management for Trinity-hosted athletics contests, as well as the supervision of the Bell Center student staff. Seth was the Associate Athletic Director for Operations from 2009-2014 until his promotion to the current position.
Prior to his appointment at Trinity, Seth worked at the University of Texas at San Antonio for three years, where he assisted in opening the recreation center in January 2003. Seth managed programming and open recreation at the center, as well as supervising over 200 student employees.
A native of Greenwood, Indiana, Seth received his associate's degree in physical education from Vincennes (IN) University in 1998. Seth transferred to Indiana State University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in recreation and sport management in 2000. Seth completed an internship for the A-League's (now USL) Indiana Blast professional soccer team and also worked for the Indianapolis Department of Parks and Recreation. He completed the requirements of Miami University (OH) for a Master of Science degree in 2004 with an emphasis in sports organization.
Seth is a member of the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA) and the Collegiate Events and Facility Management Association (CEFMA), an affiliate of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA).
