Elliott Hauser

Elliott Hauser has a varied work experience, beginning in 2006 as a Broker and Investment Consultant for Maverick Partners. In 2009, they took on roles as a Client Associate for PENSCO Trust Company and a Business Associate and Research Associate for Tiburon Strategic Advisors. In 2010, they worked as an Information Management Intern for UNC Management Company, Inc. and a Contract Information Consultant for Great Place to Work Institute. In 2011, they were an Analyst Contractor and Summer Analyst for Accenture. In 2012, they were a Royster Fellow for UNC Chapel Hill and a Google Summer Coder for NESCent (National Evolutionary Synthesis Center). Since 2020, they have been an Assistant Professor at The University of Texas at Austin.

Elliott Hauser attended Norfolk Academy from 1990 to 2002 and earned their High School Diploma. Elliott then attended Duke University from 2002 to 2005, where they earned a B.A. in Economic Art History and Philosophy. From 2010 to 2012, they attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where they earned an MSIS in Information Science, Health Informatics, and Research Data. Finally, they returned to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Information Science in 2019.
