Joe Otte

Joe Otte has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Joe began their career as a Manufacturing Engineer at NTN Driveshaft, Inc. in 1999 and held this position until 2008. Joe then worked as a Manufacturing Engineer at Rolls-Royce from 2008 to 2009. Afterwards, they joined Cummins Inc. as a Manufacturing Engineer from 2011 to 2013. Following this, Joe worked as a Teacher at Trinity Lutheran High School in 2013. In 2014, they became a Consultant for Industry 4.0 at Ivy Tech Community College. In 2019, Joe transitioned to a leadership role as the Interim Dean at Ivy Tech Community College-Columbus, where they served until 2020. Joe then joined Amatrol as the Assistant Director of Training and Consulting in 2020. Currently, they hold the position of Director Technical Training at TriNova, Inc., which they started in 2023.

Joe Otte earned their Associate's degree in CAD/CADD Drafting and/or Design Technology/Technician from Ivy Tech Community College Columbus from 1997 to 2000. Joe later pursued a Bachelor of Science in Technology and Engineering Education from Indiana State University, completing their degree from 2009 to 2011. Joe went on to further their education by obtaining a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Indiana State University between 2017 and 2019.

In addition to their formal education, Joe Otte has acquired numerous certifications. These certifications include Adobe Captivate Essential Training from LinkedIn, SCE TIA Portal Basics, SCE TIA Portal Programmer, and SCE TIA Portal Troubleshooter from Siemens Industry Learning Services. Joe also obtained certifications in Robotic Operations 1, Programmable Controller Systems 1, and Certified Industry 4.0 Associate - Basic Operations from SACA - Smart Automation Certification Alliance. Furthermore, Joe has certifications in Applying the QM Rubric from QM Quality Matters, DX100 - Modified MERIT Basic Programming from Yaskawa Motoman, DUTY AREA 1: MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS from NIMS - National Institute for Metalworking Skills, Fanuc - iRVisison CERT Instructor and Fanuc HandlingTool Operations & Programming CERT Instructor from FANUC America Corporation. Joe also holds the CX-Programmer Level I & II certification from Omron Automation - Americas, as well as Maintenance Awareness CPT 4.0 Certificate, Process & Production CPT 4.0 Certificate, Quality Practices and Measurements CPT 4.0 Certificate, Safety 4.0 Certificate, Siemens - CTP Level 1 Instructor, and Certified Production Technician (CPT) certifications from the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council.
