Steven Henning

Steven Henning is an accomplished professional in the field of polymer science and materials engineering, currently serving as the Director of the North American R&D Center of Excellence at Trinseo since January 2024. In this role, Steven provides leadership and fosters cross-business unit collaboration and innovation to enhance Trinseo's specialty and sustainable material solutions. Prior to this, Steven held several key positions, including Global Technology & Innovations Director at Resin Solutions LLC and Global Innovations Manager at TotalEnergies Petrochemicals & Refining USA, Inc., where responsibilities encompassed strategic roadmapping and explorative research. Steven's extensive experience includes leading global R&D initiatives at Total Petrochemicals & Refining USA, Inc. and Sartomer Company, Inc., alongside a foundational role at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, contributing significantly to polymerization development and research. Steven holds an MS in Polymer Science from The University of Akron and multiple degrees from Penn State University, including a BS in Chemistry and a Bachelor's in Material Science and Engineering.
