Shiva Bhowmik, Ph.D

Shiva Bhowmik, Ph.D has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. In 2002, they started their career as a Graduate Research Assistant at Purdue University, where they worked until 2008. Shiva then moved on to work as a Researcher at The Joint Center for Structural Genomics, The Scripps Research Institute from 2009 to 2014, concurrently serving as a Visiting Scientist at Genomics Institute of the Novartis Research Foundation during the same period. In 2014, they joined Ambrx as a Program Leader, a position they held until 2017. During this time, they also worked as an Antibody Therapeutic Development Manager at ImmunoBrain Checkpoint, Ltd. in 2017. In 2014, Shiva started their own venture called Trio Pharmaceutials, Inc. and currently serves as the Founder and COO. Additionally, in 2011, they worked as a Consultant for Drug Discovery for Tropical Diseases, where they identified funding sources, formulated collaborative agreements, and recommended research projects for academic and industrial collaboration. Furthermore, in 2014, they became a Partner at InVenture Consultants. Overall, Shiva Bhowmik has a strong background in research, leadership, and entrepreneurship within the pharmaceutical industry.

Shiva Bhowmik, Ph.D holds a Ph.D in Biochemistry, Biophysics and Molecular Biology from Purdue University. Prior to that, Shiva earned a Master of Technology degree in Biotechnology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
