Co-Founder & CEO at Triparound

Antonis Chalkiopoulos has a diverse work experience spanning various sectors. Antonis co-founded and served as CEO of Triparound, a travel software company focused on improving the efficiency and user experience of travel companies. Prior to this, they co-founded and led TOORISTAS, a travel platform that later became the foundation for Triparound.

Earlier in their career, Chalkiopoulos worked at the Hellenic Center for Marine Research. Here, they held multiple roles including Project Manager, Technical Manager, and Software Developer and Systems Administrator. Antonis was involved in the development of various projects related to marine research and environmental monitoring. Antonis also contributed to the development of databases, web portals, and forecasting services for national and European funded projects. Chalkiopoulos demonstrated their technical and management skills throughout their tenure at this organization.

Antonis Chalkiopoulos attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2017 to participate in the StartMIT workshop for entrepreneurs and innovators. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Advanced Information Systems at the University of Piraeus from 2009 to 2012. Antonis also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Network and Computing Systems from the same university, which they earned between 2003 and 2008. In addition to their academic achievements, Antonis Chalkiopoulos obtained several certifications, including "Service Design - Leveraging Creativity Talent" from The Flow Partners in June 2021, "SeaExplorer Glider pilot Certificate" from ALSEAMAR in April 2016, and "Arctic Circle crossing Certificate" from Hurtigruten in April 2014.
