Founded in 2003 by astute businessman and self-confessed motorsport aficionado, Roland Dane, Triple Eight Race Engineering is an engineering business with a motor racing pedigree. As the Australian SACHS Motorsport distributor, Triple Eight provides engineering excellence with in-house design and manufacturing to service an extensive network of loyal customer teams across the Australian Supercars category. Over the years, Dane has built the foundations of a successful engineering business and Triple Eight Race Engineering has earned the reputation of being a leader within the Australian Supercars category. Racing as Red Bull Ampol Racing in the Supercars Championship, Triple Eight is the only Brisbane-based Supercars team. Its first Bathurst win came in 2006, followed by another two consecutive wins in 2007 and 2008. The team’s 2022 line-up consists of Broc Feeney #88 and Shane van Gisbergen #97, while former driver Jamie Whincup steps into the role of Managing Director and Team Principal. Additionally, the team has two cars in the Supercars Championship development category, Super2 Series, and a single entry in the GT World Challenge Australia/Asia series. The company boasts nine Bathurst wins, 10 Drivers’ Championships and 11 Teams' Championships to their name.
