Tal Shapira has a long and varied work experience. Starting in 2003, they worked as a journalist for Yedioth Aharonot. In 2006, they began working as a private tutor. In 2008, Tal worked as a researcher at the Weizmann Institute of Science and as a lecturer at the Davidson Institute of Science Education. In 2010, they co-founded QD Ltd., a company that developed devices for point of care medical diagnostics. In 2012, they worked as a Business Development Consultant at Anima Biotech and as Business Development at Promodity. In 2013, Tal was the Licensing Director at Yeda R&D, where they were responsible for commercialization of technologies in the fields of renewable energy, microbiology, agriculture, food and research tools. In 2016, they held two positions at TripleW Ltd. as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer. Finally, in 2020, Tal became an Executive Board Member at the non-for-profit association of football fans, The Blue, who own the legendary football club Hapoel Petach Tikva FC.
Tal Shapira completed a B.Sc. in chemistry and biology at Tel Aviv University between 2005 and 2008. Tal then went on to earn an M.Sc. in Structural Biology at the Weizmann Institute of Science between 2008 and 2010.
