Joost Postmes is an experienced executive with a strong background in the healthcare and media sectors. Currently serving as CEO of Triticum Exploitatie BV since March 2003, Joost oversees the production of L-Mesitran, an innovative wound care product line utilizing patented honey-based technologies, with a global market presence in over 56 countries. Additionally, as CEO of Sion Biotext bv since March 2020, Joost leads the manufacturing of FFP2 facemasks for hospital use. Joost has also held the position of CEO and owner of 241 Productions, where the focus was on producing content for international television broadcasters from September 1998 to March 2003, and worked as a freelance broadcaster for TV news programs between 1995 and 1998. Educational qualifications include an LLM in Law from Maastricht University and a VWO from St Maartenscollege.

Triticum L-Mesitran
L-Mesitran® is the leading brand of wound care products of the Triticum company. The company was founded in July 2000, based upon the research of Dr.Theo Postmes, Phd in Biochemistry. His research at the University Hospital of Maastricht (NL) and publications (e.g. in The Lancet) led to the conclusion that honey is capable of healing wounds fast and efficient. The company patented these unique products and in 2002 L-Mesitran® was the first CE-marked product based on honey on the European market.The L-Mesitran® products are now available in almost all European countries and several countries outside the EU. To this day, L-Mesitran® strives to be the pioneer in the wound care market with honey based products. Our aim is to provide high quality Medical Grade Honey based wound care products for fast and efficient wound healing.
