Chris Steiner

Chris Steiner is a Principal of Tritium Partners, responsible for sourcing and executing acquisitions and monitoring Tritium’s portfolio companies.

Prior to joining Tritium, Chris was CFO and Head of Strategy at Bypass, a tablet based point of sale software company serving multi-site food and beverage providers. At Bypass, Chris led business development, corporate development, and strategy and oversaw all financial matters.

Prior to Bypass, Chris was an investment professional with Austin Ventures for over six years. At Austin Ventures, Chris helped to acquire, grow, and exit investments in the firm’s growth equity practice with a particular focus on the financial services and financial technology sectors.

Prior to joining Austin Ventures, Chris was a manager in the Transaction Services group of KPMG. While at KPMG, Chris provided due diligence and advisory services to private equity and strategic investors covering a diverse array of transactions and sectors in North America and in Europe.

Chris received his MBA from the Harvard Business School. He also received a Masters in Accounting and a BA in Business and Economics from Rhodes College. Chris is a certified public accountant and a CFA charterholder.

Chris is active in the Austin community having previously served as the board chair of Austin’s I Live Here I Give Here, an organization dedicated to raising awareness and funding for Austin based non-profits.
