Chris Newcomer

Chris Newcomer serves as the SVP Carrier Credit at Triumph Financial, Inc., overseeing credit risk management for Transportation Truck Carrier exposures since December 2023. Previously, Chris held the position of Credit Manager at Triumph from September 2019 to December 2023 and served as Sr. Credit Manager for Structured Transportation Finance at Hitachi Capital America Corp. from May 2018 to August 2019, where important underwriting processes for large ticket transactions were established. Prior experience includes a VP role at Citi Bank, managing credit and structural risk for a diverse commercial portfolio, as well as various positions at GE Capital, focusing on risk assessment and underwriting for commercial credit. Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of North Texas.
