Jon Tavenner

Jon Tavenner has worked as an IT Project Manager II at Triumph Financial, Inc. since July 2022. Jon previously worked at Empower Retirement as a Sr. Project Manager from July 2021 to July 2022, where they established agile methodology, tracked projects, managed data migration during a merger, and facilitated meetings. Before that, Jon was a Project Manager in Information Technology at San Manuel Band of Mission Indians from January 2018 to August 2021. In this role, they developed PMO standards, managed various projects, and implemented new technologies. Prior to that, Jon held multiple positions at Azusa Pacific University, including IT Project Manager, Manager of Computer Technicians, Laptop Leasing Program Coordinator, and Computer Technician. Jon worked at the university from May 2007 to December 2017.

Jon Tavenner completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Communication Studies at Azusa Pacific University from 2003 to 2007. Later, they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Management at the same university from 2012 to 2015. In addition to their formal education, Jon has obtained various certifications, including Certified Scrum Product Owner from Scrum Alliance, A+ and Net+ from CompTIA, Desktop Support Manager from HDI, and SCRUM master from Scrum Alliance. It is not specified when these certifications were obtained. Jon also aspires to obtain the Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification from the Project Management Institute, although it is unclear if they have already obtained it.
