Richard T. Williams has over 20 years of work experience in the publishing industry. Richard T. started their career at Bonus Books, Inc. in 1997 as an Operations Manager, where they gained comprehensive knowledge of running an independent publishing company. Richard T. developed strong relationships with customers, oversaw royalty rules and payments, and played a key role in transitioning the company to national distribution. In 2004, Richard worked as an Advertising Director and Contributor at PopMatters, where they secured advertising clients and wrote music articles. Richard T. joined Independent Publishers Group (IPG) in 2005 as a Special Sales Manager, where they extensively worked with client publishers to find sales opportunities in niche markets. Richard later served as the Director of Small Press United, evaluating titles and maximizing salability. From 2016 to 2021, they held the role of Vice President of Publisher Development at IPG, acting as the primary point of contact for publishers and providing advice on title development, cover design, and publication scheduling. In 2022, Richard became the Vice President of Business Development, Publishing & Licensing at IPG. Throughout their career, Richard has been a champion for independent publishing in a rapidly changing industry.

Richard T. Williams obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, with a focus on Creative Writing and British Literature, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Richard T. pursued this degree between 1991 and 1994.
