Mike Boone

Mike Boone has a diverse work experience in software engineering and project management roles. Mike began their career as a Freelance Developer, working on various projects involving e-commerce websites, point of sale systems, warranty registration systems, and product marketing. Mike has expertise in PHP, C++, Visual Basic, and Ruby on Rails. Later, Mike worked as an Interactive Developer for Torque Creative, where they were responsible for developing and maintaining Ruby on Rails websites for product marketing. Mike then joined World Wide Web Hosting, LLC as a Software Engineer & Software Development Manager, working on complex Ruby on Rails projects from design to deployment and maintenance. After that, Mike worked as a Senior Software Developer and Project Manager at Pressed.net, where they led a team of nine developers and focused on coding and ensuring project progress. Later, they joined Envato as a Senior Developer, managing projects and developing Ruby on Rails software with teams across different continents. Mike then moved to HubTran, which was later acquired by TriumphPay, where they worked as a Senior Software Developer, primarily focusing on Ruby on Rails backend development and API integration. Their most recent role was as a Senior Software Engineer at Ascent, primarily working remotely and specializing in Ruby on Rails backend development, API design, and customer-facing API development. Currently, they hold the position of Lead Engineer at TriumphPay.

Mike Boone completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Aeronautical & Astronautical Engineering at The Ohio State University. Mike is currently pursuing a Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science at the Georgia Institute of Technology. In addition, they have obtained multiple certifications in various fields, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) Lambda, Cloud Computing, GraphQL, React Native, Redux, and others. Mike also completed courses in Agile Estimation and Planning and Machine Learning.
