Alicia Barroso

Alicia Barroso is a seasoned investment professional with a strong background in healthcare and life sciences. Currently serving as Vice President at American Securities since July 2021, Alicia has previously contributed to the Dana-Farber Biotech Venture Fund as a Life Sciences Investor, playing a key role in launching the fund in 2021. Prior experience includes working as a Healthcare Private Equity Investor at Tailwind Capital, where Alicia engaged with a diverse portfolio of companies, including Abode Healthcare and Dermarite. Alicia's career began at J.P. Morgan in investment banking. Academic credentials include an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from the University of Miami, supported by a full-tuition merit scholarship. Additionally, Alicia completed a study abroad semester at The American University of Rome.
