Olivier Chomat started their career as a Signal Processing Engineer at an Image Processing research center in 1995. Olivier then worked as an Engineer focusing on Signal Processing and Instrumentation at ITMI-APTOR for a few months in 1997. Following that, they joined Thales Alenia Space as an Image Processing Expert from September 1997 to September 1998. In 2000, they began working at Trixell as a Product Engineer, eventually transitioning to roles such as Head of Product Engineering Department & Customer Support, Head of Product Manufacturing Unit, and currently holds the position of Head of Product Engineering Department & Customer Technical Support, which they started in February 2019.

Olivier Chomat began their education at the Université Jean Monnet Saint-Etienne in 1991, where they pursued a DUT in Mesures Physiques with a focus on techniques instrumentales. Olivier completed this degree in 1992. Subsequently, from 1993 to 1995, they attended Télécom Saint-Etienne and obtained an Ingénieur degree in Génie Physique et Instrumentation, with a specialization in traitement numérique du signal.

In 1996, Chomat continued their studies at Grenoble INP - UGA, where they completed a DEA in Signal Processing in 1997. Finally, they pursued a PhD/Doctorat degree in Signal and Image processing at the same institution from 1998 to 2000.
