Matt Humphries

Director Law Enforcement Relations - APAC at TRM Labs

Matt Humphries has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles and organizations. Matt is currently serving as the Director of Law Enforcement Relations for the APAC region at TRM Labs since September 2022. Prior to this, they held multiple roles at the Australian Federal Police, including Regional Digital Forensics Specialist, Cybercrime Technical Advisor, Forensic Advisor, and Digital Forensics Specialist. Matt also worked as a Sessional Lecturer at QUT from January 2010 to October 2018. Before that, they worked as an Investigator at the Health Insurance Commission from January 2003 to January 2007. Matt also had experience as a Private Investigator at Humphries Investigations from July 2002 to January 2003. Matt started their career at the NSW Independent Commission Against Corruption, where they held roles as an Investigator, Surveillance Officer, and Assessment Officer from October 1995 to July 2002. Prior to that, Matt served as an Investigator in the Royal Australian Air Force from June 1988 to October 1995.

Matt Humphries completed a Postgraduate Degree in Information Technology at QUT (Queensland University of Technology) in 2006. Matt also obtained a Diploma of Government with a field of study in Fraud Control Investigation from Charles Sturt University in 2002. Furthermore, they obtained a Postgraduate Degree in Security Management from Monash University in 1997.
