Phil Ariss

Phil Ariss currently serves as the Director of UK Public Sector Relations at TRM Labs, focusing on building relationships with law enforcement and regulatory bodies to combat illicit activity involving cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. With extensive experience in law enforcement, including roles as a Police Inspector and Sergeant at Leicestershire Police, Phil has concentrated on cybercrime, money laundering, and the integration of digital capabilities within policing. Phil has led initiatives for the National Police Chiefs' Council related to cybercrime, including developing counting rules for recorded cybercrime and creating training programs on cryptocurrencies for law enforcement. Phil has also represented the UK at international conferences, contributing to global discussions on cryptocurrency regulation and investigation techniques. Phil holds a Foundation degree in Criminal Justice/Police Science from De Montfort University.
