Mariano Wecer has worked in a variety of roles since 2006. Mariano began their career as a Rifle Company Commander (Mechanized Infantry) for A Co, 3rd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, where they were responsible for the command and control, maintenance, planning, training, deployment, and combat readiness of the company's personnel and equipment. In 2007, they became the Brigade Military Transition Team Operations Officer for Military Transistion Team 0110, 1st Regimental Combat Team, 1st Marine Air Ground Task Force, where they were responsible for coordinating and synchronizing all missions across multiple lines of operations in order to support the transition to Iraqi Control. In 2008, they became the Infantry Company Commander for the Infantry Basic Officer Leader Course (IBOLC), where they were responsible for planning, resourcing, and executing a thirteen week Program of Instruction designed to train 450 Infantry Second Lieutenants annually. From 2010-2011, they were the Executive Officer for US Army, Security Forces Assistance Team 10, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, where they were responsible for the coordination and synchronization of one Provincial SFAT, 10 District SFATs, and the training and mentoring of Afghan Uniformed Police Operations Section in conducting counter-insurgency operations and stability operations in Afghanistan. In 2011, they became the Deputy Director, Soldier Requirements Division, Manuever Center of Excellence for US Army, Soldiers Requirement Division, where they determined material requirements for the Infantry and Army Soldiers. From 2013-2015, they worked for 1st Squadron, 13th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armor Division, first as the Squadron Executive Officer, and then as the Production Manager for SMITH AND NEPHEW ORTHOPEDICS. In 2016, they became the Operations Research Analyst for Mayvin Consulting Group, where they provided advisory assistance to Army and Joint Force Commanders and units operating through the range of military operations. From 2017-2020, they worked for Yorktown Systems Group as the Senior Operational Advisor and Project Manager-Concept Development, and then as the Executive Director and Cyber Security Subject Matter Expert for Troika Solutions.
Mariano Wecer obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Administration of Justice from Rutgers University between 1994 and 1999. Mariano then attended The United States Army Command and General Staff College between 2012 and 2013, studying Military Operational Art and Science/Studies.
