Nicolás Díez has a diverse work experience. Nicolás began their career in 1997 as the Founder of mtek s.a. In 1999, they became the President of Tronex S.A.S. In 2000, they joined CODISCOS S.A.S as the Executive Director. In 2007, they became the Founding Partner/Director of New Business Development at :Panter { web-apps-design-animation }. Finally, in 2011, they became the Founding Partner and Executive Director of Astorga Kapital, a Business Development Private Equity Fund.
Nicolás Díez received a High School Diploma from Gulliver Preparatory High School in Miami, Florida in 1991. Nicolás then completed a Bachelor of Business Administration (BSBA) in International Business from the University of Denver - Daniels College of Business from 1991 to 1995. In 2005 to 2006, they pursued an Especializacion en Alta Gerencia Internacional in International Business from Universidad EAFIT. Nicolás later pursued two Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees in Global MBA - International Business from CENTRUM PUCP from 2011 to 2013, and from EADA Business School from 2011 to 2013. In 2015, they also completed an Intl. Senior Management Program in International Senior Management Program from IE Business School.

Tronex was born in 1972 as a brand of batteries from the record label company CODISCOS with a history full of innovation and creation of new businesses based on the trends of the environment of the time. In 2000 it consolidates as an independent company and today has two growing business verticals: The first around the commercialization and distribution of products in mass consumption channels, whose main purpose is to add value to the growth of the channels with an offer of products from high quality for the rotation and return on investment of our channels Store to Store (traditional), Large Formats (modern chanel and retailers), Hard Discounters and others relevant to the economy of the country; an offer in permanent evolution and evaluation, which contains categories of products such as batteries, lighters, stationery, lighting and adhesives, in different brands, own and represented. The second vertical is the accumulation of energy, in which we have three business units whose value proposition revolves around the complete solutions of the highest quality and the knowledge and experience that we can give to the industry in topics such as design and development of batteries for special applications (mobility, tools, equipment); storage logistics (batteries for forklifts, charging systems, etc.) and generation and quality of energy in the industry (UPS, solar panels, rectifiers, inverters). The products and services of our energy vertical are always backed by our knowledge and experience in all the associated topics, including sustainability and the post-consumption processes of batteries and batteries with our Recopila program. In addition, our innovation management model INNOVATIO+ opens the doors to associative, collaborative and participatory work to adapt our business to the needs of the market.
