Eckard van Staden

Eckard van Staden has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Eckard has held various leadership roles in finance, program management, and business transformation. At Tronox, they served as the Vice President of Program Management, where they oversaw a global digital/business transformation initiative. Eckard also led a high-profile finance transformation initiative, achieving significant cost savings. Prior to Tronox, they worked at G4S as the Regional Financial Controller for the Africa region, where they managed accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting for multiple countries. Eckard also assumed the interim CFO role and addressed critical business issues. Eckard has experience in operational excellence and advisory roles, having worked as a consultant for Tronox and in roles involving financial performance management and project control at Exxaro Resources. Early in their career, they worked in finance and internal audit roles at Kumba Resources Ltd and Aurco Pty LTD/Iscor LTD.

Eckard van Staden has a CA(SA) degree in Accounting and Finance from the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants. Eckard is also a Sarbanes-Oxley Trained Professional, having completed a program at the Management and Strategy Institute. Eckard holds a Bachelor of Commerce Honors Degree and a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Accounting Science from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika. Additionally, they have completed the Accounting Professional Training-APT program at the University of Johannesburg. Eckard van Staden has also obtained certifications in Leading Operational Excellence from the MIT Sloan School of Management and as a Certified Public Accountant (BEC-Part One Only) from NASBA.
