Process Engineering Lead at Tronox

Pieter van Beek has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Pieter began their career in 1990 as a Production Technician Shift at Afval Verwerking Botlek (AVB). Pieter then worked at Tiofine as a Production Technician Shift and later as an Assistant Team Leader Shift. In 1998, they joined Kemira Pigments as a Team Leader Shift before moving to Kerr McGee in 2000, where they served as a Team Leader Day Shift and later as a Team Leader Shift. From 2005 to 2014, Pieter worked at Tronox, holding various roles including Reliability Engineer, Process Engineer, Senior Process Engineer, and Senior Project Engineer Chemical. Following a sabbatical, they joined Tronox again in 2014 as a Senior Project Engineer Chemical. In 2015, they joined Shell as a Prelude-FLNG Technical Trainer OR&A. Pieter then joined Cristal in 2017 as a Principal Engineer and currently holds the same role at Tronox since 2019, where they also serve as the Process Engineering Lead since June 2021. Pieter is currently seeking new opportunities.

Pieter van Beek completed their education at various institutes. Pieter obtained a Post HBO degree in Business Administration and Management from Transfergroep Rotterdam in 2009. Prior to that, they completed their BSc in Chemical Engineering from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences in 2006. Pieter also holds an Advanced Diploma in Chemical Engineering from Proces Centrum Nederland (PCN) in 2002. In addition, Pieter undertook a Fire Brigade training from Falck in 1995, where they specialized as an Emergency Response Team Leader. Lastly, they received Technical Education for non-commissioned officer in Electromechanical Instrumentation and Maintenance Technologies/Technicians from Technische Opleidingen Koninklijke Marine in 1985.
