Vanessa Barker

Vanessa Barker is an experienced professional in human resources and learning and development, currently serving as the Director of Human Resources for APAC at Tronox since August 2022. In this role, Vanessa collaborates with regional leadership to advance business strategies across Australia and Asia and oversees a team focused on professional development. Prior to Tronox, Vanessa held various positions at Wesfarmers Chemicals, Energy & Fertilisers from January 2013 to August 2022, including Change Manager and Learning Management Supervisor, where responsibilities included managing change management strategies and overseeing training operations. Earlier career highlights include positions as eLearning Advisor at Rio Tinto Iron and Titanium and Learning Technologies Manager at Yorkshire Building Society, where Vanessa drove the development and implementation of learning technologies. Vanessa holds a Master of Business Administration degree from James Cook University.
