Wilhelm van Zyl

Wilhelm Van Zyl has extensive work experience in the mining industry. Wilhelm started their career at Anglo American in 2004, where they worked as a Furnace Metallurgist until 2006, before transitioning to the role of Business Improvement Manager until 2008. Wilhelm then joined Exxaro Resources in 2008 as an Area Manager for Primary Concentration Plants, and later became the Process Development Manager until 2012. Since 2012, Van Zyl has been employed at Tronox, where they held various positions including Operations & Maintenance Manager for Concentration Plants, Operations Manager for Mineral Separation, and most recently, Principal Global Operational Excellence Advisor.

Wilhelm Van Zyl obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering from Stellenbosch University, graduating in the year 2003. In 2012, they also obtained a certification in Energy Management and Systems Technology/Technician from AEE VIT. Additionally, they completed a course in Professional Project Management from the Project Management Institute in the same year.
