Gerald Sombright

Executive Chef

Gerald Sombright is an accomplished Executive Chef with extensive experience in the culinary industry, currently leading the kitchen at Troon since June 2022. Prior to this role, Sombright served as the Opening Chef de Cuisine at Knife and Spoon within the Ritz-Carlton Grande Lakes from January 2019 to June 2022, and held the position of Chef de Cuisine at Ario Restaurant from September 2015 to January 2019. Additional experience includes serving as Opening Sous Chef at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and Sous Chef at Wit and Wisdom, a tavern by Michael Mina. Sombright's career began in 2000 at Westin STL as Chef de Cuisine, focusing on team development and budget management. Gerald Sombright holds a High School Diploma from Normandy High School, earned in 1998.
