Angela Chaparro-Garcia

Angela Chaparro-Garcia is an accomplished professional in the field of rice biotechnology, currently serving as the Head of Rice Biotechnology at Tropic since March 2017. Angela has held multiple roles at Tropic, including Team Lead and Senior Scientist. Prior to this position, Angela worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at The Sainsbury Laboratory from 2013 to March 2017 and completed graduate studies at the same institution from 2008 to 2012. Angela began her scientific career as a Research Technician at the University at Buffalo from 2007 to 2008 and as a Visiting Scholar at the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center (OARDC) from 2006 to 2007. Angela holds a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology from Universidad de Los Andes.
