Nicholas Sawyer

Nicholas Sawyer has a diverse work experience in various industries. Nicholas is currently working at Tropic as the Associate Director of Strategy & Growth. Prior to that, they held the position of Head of Strategy & Growth at Tropic.

Before joining Tropic, Nicholas was a Co-Owner at Edentown Company.

Nicholas also worked as an MBA Investing Associate at Aliment Capital (formerly known as Pontifax AgTech), where they focused on investing in food and agriculture technology businesses.

Nicholas has extensive experience in the aquaculture industry. Nicholas worked at Open Blue as the Director Of National Accounts, North America and Head Of Business Development, Europe. Nicholas also held the role of Business Development Manager at Open Blue.

Earlier in their career, Nicholas worked at Industrias Martec as a Program Manager - Aquaculture, where they were involved in designing, building, and managing aquaculture projects in Costa Rica.

Nicholas started their career as a Research Laboratory Technician at the University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science, where they supported the production and commercial feasibility analysis of various finfish species.

Nicholas Sawyer obtained their Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Managerial Economics and Environmental Science from the University of Miami Herbert Business School in the years 2008 to 2012. During this time, they also obtained an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Aquaculture from the University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric and Earth Science in the years 2010 to 2012.

In 2011, Nicholas participated in a study abroad semester at Yonsei University. Moreover, in 2018 to 2020, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the UCLA Anderson School of Management.

Prior to their undergraduate studies, Nicholas completed their high school education and obtained an International Baccalaureate Diploma from the American School of Milan in the years 2004 to 2008.

Furthermore, Nicholas obtained an Advanced Open Water Diver Level III certification from SSI Scuba Schools International in May 2008.
