Philip Zegerman

Philip Zegerman currently serves as the Associate Director of Technology & Research and Head of Research at Tropic, where responsibilities include leading innovations and research initiatives in agtech and molecular biology programs. Previously, Philip held the position of Associate Professor and Senior Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge, focusing on DNA replication and repair in relation to cancer, while also developing a distinctive research portfolio on the cell cycle and its implications in cancer and development. Earlier roles include Junior Group Leader and AICR International Research Fellow, as well as Postdoctoral Researcher at Cancer Research UK, emphasizing project management and DNA replication control's role in genome stability. Educational qualifications comprise a PhD in Pathology from the University of Cambridge, executive education in circular economy and sustainability strategies from Cambridge Judge Business School, and a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge.
