Derek then spent 8 years at United Central Bakeries Ltd. as the general manager before moving to Finsbury Food Group as the head of finance. In 2013, they moved to Genius Foods as the head of business planning and then in 2016, they became the director at Tropical Marine Centre.
Derek Thomson studied engineering at the University of Edinburgh School of Philosophy, Psychology and Language Sciences. Derek then went on to complete a bachelor's degree in engineering at the same school.
