Mellisa Chia

Mellisa Chia has over 19 years of experience in leasing and marketing roles in the retail sector. Mellisa most recently served as the Business Development Leasing General Manager at Tropicana Corporation Berhad starting in May 2021. Prior to that, they worked as the Senior Manager of Leasing at Damansara Uptown Retail Centre Sdn Bhd from January 2020 to May 2021, where they were responsible for establishing and strengthening tenant relationships and implementing leasing strategies for a new shopping mall.

From April 2017 to December 2019, Mellisa worked as the Head of Leasing at WCT Malls Management Sdn Bhd, overseeing the leasing team for four malls and leading the implementation of strategic plans. Mellisa also had experience as the Manager of Leasing at Suria KLCC Sdn Bhd from August 2009 to September 2016, and as the Manager of Marketing at Hektar Premier Sdn Bhd from 2002 to 2008. In their role at Hektar Premier, they played a key role in the revamping of Subang Parade and implemented innovative marketing campaigns to increase brand loyalty and revenue. Throughout their career, Mellisa has demonstrated expertise in leasing, marketing, strategic planning, and team management.

Mellisa Chia completed their Bachelor of Business degree in Marketing/ International Business from Charles Sturt University. Mellisa attended the university from 1999 to 2002.
