Mia Van Docto

Conservation Hydrologist at Trout Unlimited

Mia van Docto is an accomplished conservation professional with extensive experience in hydrology and environmental science. Currently serving as the Conservation Hydrology Program Director and Conservation Hydrologist at Trout Unlimited since 2016, Mia has previously held positions as an Associate Environmental Scientist at the Center for Ecosystem Management and Restoration, and as a Scientific Researcher at the California Land Stewardship Institute. Additional roles include Dam Removal Researcher for the Pacific States Marine Fisheries Commission, Project Coordinator for the Renewable Energy Enterprises Foundation, and various internships focused on water research and sustainability. Mia holds a Master's degree in Environmental Planning from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor's degree in Earth Science from the University of California, Santa Cruz. A notable academic involvement includes serving as a Chancellor’s Undergraduate Sustainability Intern and chairing the Student Sustainability Organization at UC Santa Cruz.
