Anne Ter Rele

Anne ter Rele is a seasoned journalist with a focus on East Asia, currently serving as Buitenlandredacteur at Trouw since October 2022. Previously, Anne was a PhD Candidate at the Amsterdam School of Communication Research, studying the legitimacy of public organizations in the media. Experience as Advocacy Officer and Visiting Journalist at the International Press Institute involved reporting on press freedom violations in Central Europe. Prior roles include Redacteur binnenland at Trouw during the COVID-19 crisis, Freelance Redacteur at NOS, and various editorial positions at media outlets like AD NieuwsMedia and Follow the Money.
