Danusia Schenke is an experienced art director and journalist, currently serving as a board member at Stichting Verhalende Journalistiek and as the art director at Trouw newspaper since October 2015. With a strong background in editorial design, Danusia has held various roles including art director at NRC Handelsblad and nrc.next, and has contributed to multiple editions of Beleven Meestervertellers from 2021 to 2023. Additionally, Danusia has participated as a jury member for the Zilveren Camera in the international documentary category across several years. Danusia holds a master's degree in Design from Sandberg Instituut and a bachelor's degree in Graphic Design from Avans Hogeschool/St Joost Kunstacademie.

Trouw
Trouw is one of the three national quality newspapers in the Netherlands, and part of the Belgium publisher De Persgroep. In 2012 it received the award European Newspaper of the Year fot its concept of a 'daily weekly' and its design. It produces every day a newssection and a section 'De Verdieping' with background, analyses, reports en opinions. On saturday there are two extra magazines called Letter&Geest with essays and bookreviews and a magazine named Tijd with human interest-story's. It's orginally founded in 1943 as a resistance newspaper. Nowadays the newspaper takes special interests in politics, sustainability, education, healthcare and the role of religion and (new) religious groups in our rapidly changing society.
