Luuk van der Sterren is an experienced environmental and investigative journalist currently working as a freelance writer since January 2023, contributing feature stories on climate, technology, and the environment to publications such as Vrij Nederland, NRC Handelsblad, and Down to Earth Magazine. In addition, Luuk serves as a copy editor at Trouw since August 2023 and previously worked at Follow the Money from August 2016 to December 2022 as an investigative journalist focusing on climate and environmental justice issues. During the tenure at Follow the Money, Luuk transitioned to managing editor, overseeing story editing, planning, and operational security. Luuk holds a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences with a focus on Humanities from Amsterdam University College and a Bachelor's degree in Literature, Culture, and Social Science from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

Trouw
Trouw is one of the three national quality newspapers in the Netherlands, and part of the Belgium publisher De Persgroep. In 2012 it received the award European Newspaper of the Year fot its concept of a 'daily weekly' and its design. It produces every day a newssection and a section 'De Verdieping' with background, analyses, reports en opinions. On saturday there are two extra magazines called Letter&Geest with essays and bookreviews and a magazine named Tijd with human interest-story's. It's orginally founded in 1943 as a resistance newspaper. Nowadays the newspaper takes special interests in politics, sustainability, education, healthcare and the role of religion and (new) religious groups in our rapidly changing society.
