Jay Hastings

Jay Hastings has a diverse work history spanning over two decades. Jay'smost recent position was as a Senior Manager Systems Engineering at Trovata, which they started in August 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Cisco for a total of 17 years, starting in 2007. At Cisco, they held various roles including Sr. IT Engineer, IT Architect, Technical Project Manager, and Sr. IT Engineer. Jay'sresponsibilities included application development, DevOps, performance management, monitoring, service management, and incident management. Jay also worked on the development and engineering of Cisco's demonstration and loan program application. Before Cisco, they worked as a Sr. Software Engineer at Raveta Inc., where they focused on the design and development of a Java SWING/AWT GUI for an online music collaboration software. Earlier in their career, they worked at BCI Staffing as an Engineering Program Manager Consultant and at Sun Microsystems in roles such as Software Development Manager and Member of Technical Staff.

Jay Hastings has a Certificate in Data Analytics & Visualization from the University of Oregon. Jay also holds an M.S. in Engineering Management from Santa Clara University and a B.S. in Computer Science from Western Washington University. Furthermore, they completed their high school education at Castle Rock High School.
