Oliver Gibbons

Oliver Gibbons is a Data Scientist at MSCI Inc. since September 2022, having joined the MSCI Carbon Markets team following the acquisition of Trove Research in 2023. Previously, Oliver served as a Research Intern at AI Safety Hub from November 2022 to April 2023, collaborating with Aligned AI to enhance their algorithm for concept extrapolation. As a Research Student at the Oxford Robotics Institute from September 2021 to July 2022, Oliver's master's project on robotic manipulation using tactile feedback led to a paper accepted for presentation at the 2023 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation. Prior experience includes working as a Data Analyst at Trafikio Limited, where responsibilities included data organization and report generation, and as a Community Manager at Taylor and Goes, focusing on blog content and social media engagement. Oliver holds an MEng in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford, completed in 2022, and has a background in GCSEs from Salvatorian College and St Dominic's Sixth Form College.
