Salman Ahmed has a diverse work experience in the field of finance and Islamic finance. Salman began their career as a trainee at Liaquat Merchant where they gained exposure to various areas including corporate, banking, debt, and Islamic capital markets. Salman then moved on to Mohsin Tayebaly & Co., where they worked as an associate in their DCM and International Banking Group. Here, they were involved in a wide range of transactions, including debt and equity capital markets, syndicated loans, and project finance. Ahmed then joined Trowers & Hamlins, initially as a Banking and Finance Associate in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and later as the Head of Islamic Finance. In these roles, they advised clients on both conventional and Islamic modes of financing and gained expertise in areas such as secured and unsecured syndicated and bilateral financings, acquisition finance, and project finance. Salman also had a brief stint at Clifford Chance LLP as a Senior Finance and Islamic Finance Associate. Overall, Ahmed has demonstrated a strong understanding of Islamic finance and has extensive experience in the finance industry.

Salman Ahmed obtained a Primary Market Certificate from the ICMA Centre in 2014. Prior to that, they attended BPP Law School for a brief period in 2007. Their main educational experience was at Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd from 1999 to 2002, where they completed a degree in Law.
