Joyce Brögmann

Joyce Brandão is a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Cambridge since October 2022, previously serving as a PhD Student at ETH Zürich where work involved the Environmental Policy Lab. With significant experience in environmental management and policy, Joyce held the position of Senior Program Manager at Solidaridad from March 2014 to May 2021, focusing on conservation and agriculture within livestock and cocoa supply chains in the Amazon and soy production in the Cerrado. Additionally, Joyce has a Master's degree in Applied Ecology from the Escola Superior de Agricultura "Luiz de Queiroz," where research centered on institutional arrangements for environmental governance in Mato Grosso. Previous roles include researcher positions at FGV Sustainability and WWF Brazil, as well as auditing at IMAFLORA and consulting for organizations like Agroicone and FAO. Educational background includes degrees in forestry engineering and ecology, complemented by various short-term studies at prestigious institutions such as the University of California, Berkeley, and CATIE.
