Alan Mantel

Co-Managing Partner at Truarc Partners

Alan has been working with TruArc’s senior investment team since 2005. He helps lead all aspects of the firm and focuses his investment efforts on Tech-Enabled Business Services.

Before joining TruArc, Alan was a partner of Guggenheim Merchant Banking and a managing director in the Leveraged Finance departments at Credit Suisse and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.

Alan currently serves on the boards of Lamark Media, ECRM, EnviroFinance Group, and HCTec. He is chairman of Velocity Financial, a company that Alan, John Pless, and other members of the TruArc team helped build and eventually take public. Alan previously served on the boards of DecoPac, Velvet, and ZeroChaos, and sits on the Dean’s Advisory Board of SUNY Albany Business School. He is also the former president and current chair of Congregation B’nai Jeshrun, one of the largest synagogues in New York, and a leading voice in several social justice movements.

He received an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Chicago and a B.S. in Accounting from the State University of NY at Albany.
