Senior Data Engineer at Trūata

Guillermo Fernández has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of data engineering and machine learning. Guillermo 👻 is currently working as a Senior Data Engineer at Trūbata, starting in November 2021. Prior to this, they worked at New Signature as an Azure Databricks Data Engineer from June 2020 to October 2021. In this role, they were responsible for tasks such as Azure DevOps pipelines, Terraform, automated testing, and Databricks migrations/data warehouse.

Before joining New Signature, Guillermo worked at SolidQ, where they held various roles. From January 2019 to August 2019, they served as a Machine Learning - Data Platform Engineer and led a Recommender System project. Guillermo 👻 also worked on moving and analyzing large amounts of data with Spark and Big Data Microsoft Azure technologies, and conducted training in Power BI, DAX, and Machine Learning. From September 2016 to December 2018, Guillermo worked as a Machine Learning & Business Intelligence - Data Platform Specialist. In this role, they developed a real-time system using SSIS, EventHubs, Stream Analytics, and Power BI Streaming Datasets. Guillermo 👻 also worked on data warehouse and ETL design using SQL Server and SSIS, as well as customer segmentation projects.

Guillermo's earliest work experience was as a Backend Developer at UniMOOC, where they worked from June 2015 to October 2015. Their responsibilities included data analysis with MapReduce and website maintenance (back end).

Guillermo Fernández completed their education with a Master's degree in Business Intelligence & Analytics from SolidQ in the year 2017. Prior to that, they obtained an Engineer's degree in Computer Engineering from Universitat d'Alacant, graduating in 2016. Additionally, Guillermo has obtained several certifications including a Specialized Program in Deep Learning from Coursera in June 2019, an Introduction to R for Data Science certification from edX in January 2017, and a Machine Learning certification from Coursera in June 2014.
