Joel Hodgson is a Co-Founder at Trubrics with previous experience as an Enterprise Account Executive and Machine Learning Consultant at Seldon. Large Language Models (LLMs) are changing how we communicate with the digital world, meaning we can now communicate to digital systems through natural language (language user interfaces). However, this means product teams no longer understand their user behaviour, as typical product analytics tools analyse user behaviour through pageviews and clicks, not text. Additionally, product analytics tools are only focused on the user inputs. With AI assistants, it is now also essential to track the actions the AI assistant takes to fulfil the user requests. Understanding user and AI assistant behaviour is essential to building LLM applications, to strengthen product strategy, enhance user experience and increase LLM performance.
