Christopher Dear

Christopher Dear has extensive experience in the field of Human Resources, with a focus on training, talent management, and recruitment. Christopher is currently working as the Director of Human Resources at Truckee Gaming, LLC. Prior to this role, they held the same position at DoubleTree by Hilton Portland and Caesars Entertainment, Inc. Christopher has also worked as the Director of Human Resources and Manager of Talent & Benefits at Grand Sierra Resort. Earlier in their career, they served as the Learning & Development Manager at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas and Assistant Director of Human Resources at Hard Rock Hotel. Christopher has also held various HR positions at ARIA Resort & Casino, MGM Grand Detroit, The Mirage, and Bellagio. Overall, Christopher Dear's work experience spans over 18 years in the hospitality and gaming industry.

Christopher Dear earned a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Workforce Education and Development from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas in 2006. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Hotel Administration from the same university from 1999 to 2002. Before attending the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, Christopher briefly attended the University of Nevada, Reno from 1997 to 1999, where they studied Journalism and Political Science. In addition to their educational background, Christopher holds certifications such as SHRM-CP from SHRM, obtained in January 2015, and Professional in Human Resources (PHR) from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI, obtained in July 2010.
