Deme Yuan has worked in a variety of roles since 2007. In 2007, Deme worked as an English Teacher for Gigamakin Institute. In 2008, Deme worked as an Interpreter for the United States Paralympics Committee and as a Teacher/Administrative Support for Baan Unrak Community Development Project. In 2009, Deme was an Adoption Specialist Intern for The Adoption Exchange. In 2010, Deme was a Building Bridges Program Coordinator Intern for Building Bridges. From 2011 to 2015, Deme was an Administrative Manager for Chinook Fund and a Community Organizer for Colorado Recovery. From 2015 to 2018, Deme was the Giving Project Director for Chinook Fund. Currently, Deme is the Co-Founder & COO of FR8relay (formerly Truckish).
Deme Yuan began their educational journey in 1998 when they attended Colorado College and earned a BA in Sociology and Asian Studies in 2002. Deme then obtained a TEFL Certificate from One World Training in 2007, followed by a Mandarin Language course at Beijing Language and Culture University in 2008. Finally, they completed their Master of Social Work in Leadership for Community and Organizational Practice from the University of Denver in 2011.
