Maxwell Newman

Maxwell Newman has held various positions in the software engineering and research fields since 2013. Maxwell began as an Assistant Office Manager at Newman Family Chiropractic in 2013 and then moved on to become a Researcher at the University of Maryland in 2017. Maxwell then took on roles as a Software Engineer at Booz Allen Hamilton in 2018 and at Shift Technologies, Inc. in 2019. In 2020, they began working as a Software Engineer at Amazon, where they worked on SageMaker's Machine Learning RL team to solve current issues with Reinforcement Learning in Real World Environments. Maxwell also created infrastructure for an automated life-cycle to create training data off of existing RL model endpoints for iterative improvements of models. Maxwell currently holds the position of Engineer at TruckSmarter.

Maxwell Newman attended Urbana High School from 2013 to 2016, and subsequently obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland in 2020.
