John Medellin, PhD, CPA

John Medellin, PhD, CPA has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. John currently serves as an Institutional Audit Committee Member at The University of Texas at Austin, a position they have held since August 2019. After that, they attended St. Mary's University from 1979 to 1983, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus on Computer Systems Management. In 1984, they continued their studies at St. Mary's University, achieving a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Computer Systems Management. During the same year, they also pursued a second concentration in Accounting with a BBA degree from St. Mary's University.

In 2013, they attended the Southern Methodist University and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science with a specialization in Computer Software Engineering.
