Brian Hernacki

Brian Hernacki is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in software and hardware engineering. Currently serving as the Chief Software Architect at True Anomaly since 2025, Hernacki previously held the role of Chief Technology Officer at Saildrone Inc, where leadership of hardware, software, infrastructure engineering, and product development focused on a data-as-a-service platform utilizing unmanned sea vessels. As Senior Vice President of Software Engineering at Planet from 2018 to 2023, Hernacki advanced software engineering initiatives for a large-scale imagery processing platform. Previous positions include Vice President of Software Engineering and Chief Architect roles at Intel Corporation from 2012 to 2018, Chief Architect at Hewlett-Packard, and various engineering positions at Symantec and Netscape Communications. Hernacki earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan.
